General Registration Information:
All school age children who reside in Florence, Leeds or Northampton can register for school by contacting the Registrar at (413) 587-1328. Children are eligible for Kindergarten if they turn age 5 on or before August 31. All school-age children who live in Massachusetts are entitled to attend a public school free of charge and all children between the ages of 6 and 16 must attend school. Most children attend school in their home district, the school district in which they live.
WHERE: Grades k-8 - Central School Department Offices at 212 Main Street. Grades 9-12: Northampton High School, 380 Elm Street, Northampton (Call the Guidance Department at (413) 587-1353 to be an appointment).

You may download and fill out the ALL of the following documents prior to your appointment to save time.
Please bring the following required documents:
Note: Only a parent or legal guardian can register a child for school.
- The childs original Birth Certificate (with seal)
- Proof of residency (Utility Bill, purchase and sale agreement, lease, official US Post Office change of address form, etc.)
- The childs immunization records and proof of a recent physical exam
- Photo Identification of parent registering child
- Custody Documentation (if necessary)
- The student's Individual Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Accomodation Plan (if applicable)
- Passport (for non-citizens)
