Kindergarten Registration - PLEASE FOLLOW LINK TO THE RIGHT 

General Registration Information:

All school age children who reside in Florence, Leeds or Northampton can register for school by contacting the Registrar at (413) 587-1328.  Children are eligible for Kindergarten if they turn age 5 on or before August 31. All school-age children who live in Massachusetts are entitled to attend a public school free of charge and all children between the ages of 6 and 16 must attend school. Most children attend school in their home district, the school district in which they live.

WHERE:  Grades k-8 - Central School Department Offices at 212 Main Street. Grades 9-12:  Northampton High School, 380 Elm Street, Northampton (Call the Guidance Department at (413) 587-1353 to be an appointment). 

SCHOOL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE DONE IN PERSON.  PLEASE CONTACT THE REGISTRAR AT 413-587-1328 TO SET AN APPOINTMENT

You may download and fill out the ALL of the following documents prior to your appointment to save time.

Please bring the following required documents:

 Note:  Only a parent or legal guardian can register a child for school.

1. The childs original Birth Certificate (with seal)
2. Proof of residency (Utility Bill, purchase and sale agreement, lease, official US Post Office change of address form, etc.)
3. The childs immunization records and proof of a recent physical exam
   
4. Photo Identification of parent registering child
5. Custody Documentation (if necessary)
6. The student's Individual Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Accomodation Plan (if applicable)
7. Passport (for non-citizens)
